Thirlmere reservoir offers a huge breadth of walking trails for different abilities and activities. With walking trails which form part of the Trans Pennine Trail, enhanced accessibly paths with viewing platforms, and even trails for horse riding!
Discover Thirlmere reservoir for yourself! It also provides an excellent opportunity for a long wooded walk alongside the reservoirs that provide a vital source of water for Manchester.
We have now completed the stabilisation work on Rough Crag. The storm damage has been repaired and the road and lakeshore footpath fully reopened. For more information about the work we carried out please click the link below.
