Hello, my name is Carolyn. I'm Customer Advisor for the Back Office department based at United Utilities' Lingley Mere site in Warrington.
Prior to working for United Utilities, I was raising my three children and I chose to start a career here because I heard from a friend of the family that there were roles available. I really fancied a new challenge, plus I'd heard that it was a great company to work for.
My typical day consists of liaising with other areas of the business and customers in relation to claims for compensation. This involves sending out letters to customers, as well as receiving some calls from them. I also deal with queries and requests from other areas of the business.
My favourite part of the job is being a member of a great team - we've all worked together for a number of years and we work really well together. I also love that no two days are the same.
I find the most challenging part of my job is making sure that everything I do is completed within the service level set by our regulator, OFWAT. I make sure that I prioritise my workload daily to make sure that service levels are met and that the customer receives great customer service from me and the company.
